Michigan holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, my family would take a weekend trip every fall to New Buffalo to go apple picking and play pick-up football games on the beach. This photo was taken on a beach in New Buffalo during a summer sunset. It includes a lighthouse, an icon of lakeside Michigan towns and it makes me feel a peaceful nostalgia for those childhood summers.
